About Jera

I am a 30 year northern gardener that recently moved to Zone 8a. My season is longer so my planning mistakes are bigger in the south! I am a wife, mom, dog lover, experimental gardener, IPA enthusiast and a reckless seed starter. I focus on adding to my perennial beds (particularly daylily and iris). I love to try new roses. My main focus is a large cutting garden called Kondor’s Garden. I am a secret admirer of zinnias. I used to grow veggies but my flower garden is squatting on the veggie plot so I now enjoy a weekly farmer’s market and support them instead.
